Rumrunner Chronicles

The legend goes: Mankind outgrew its home, stripped her raw of all her resources. Facing extinction, we fled to the stars. We found a new solar system, with dozens of worlds and hundreds of moons. Naturally the wealthy and privileged had the fastest ships and the best tech, got the first pick of worlds -- them as close to Earth-That-Was as could be found... they formed the Central Planets. Others needed terraforming... some took, others not so much. Eventually, most folks got on with living, forgot where they came from.

Now, the Central Planets got it in their heads that all the worlds should be allied under one rule. Some folk didn’t take kindly to that notion, and they fought the Alliance. Others just wanted to keep their heads down -- life was hard enough on the border worlds without inviting violence to your door. The war for independence has been over for six years now. Some folks are still fighting.

The rest of us are just trying to scratch out a life for ourselves. If you can find a ship, you can find work -- some honest, some not so much. But work is work. Work keeps food in your belly and fuel in your tanks. Keeps you in the sky. Keeps you on the move. Keeps you running.

Always running.

Rumrunner Chronicles is a sim that takes place in Joss Wedon's Firefly universe. It chronicles the (mis)adventures of the crew of the transport ship Rumrunner as they do what it takes to eke out an honest (and sometimes dishonest) living out on the Rim.

A handful of positions are open for crew and passengers on the little boat. Supporting roles for Alliance and civilian characters are always available. And while we don't have options for other boats and other crews right now, if you're interested -- contact the Cap'n and we'll see what might be done.

Most of all, keep flyin'.

Day two of sitting in this hell-hole... We got pinched the other day running some ladies unmentionables. I don't think, judging by the way we're being treated, that those unmentionables were her underwear.

I used to think it was a bit of a blessing not knowing exactly what the Cap'n…
